Boydell & Brewer Ltd.
Boydell & Brewer Imprint research titles, and those published by our partner The University of Rochester Press, undergo peer review. Manuscripts (or representative materials) are initially reviewed by academic experts to assess their quality and suitability for contractual agreement. Revised draft manuscripts are then evaluated again by at least one academic expert to assess readiness for publication. Authors and editors are required to carry out reasonable revisions in response to the reports before final acceptance of the manuscript for publication. Should manuscripts require further or substantive revision, a final, confirming peer review also may be required.
In addition to the above peer review process, many titles are published in series and may undergo additional academic review from series editors and members of series editorial boards.
