When a proposal is submitted to us, it is sent to the appropriate academic series editor or to an external academic reviewer. Subject to their advice, the draft manuscript is then invited to be submitted.

Once received, all draft manuscripts are sent to the academic series editors (where it falls into a series) as well as to an external academic reviewer (all books). Often a manuscript will be reviewed by more than one external academic reviewer. The reviewers and editors may suggest several revisions which must be addressed before the manuscript can be accepted for publication.

When the revised manuscript is received, the revisions are discussed together with the series editors and final edits may be requested before the final manuscript is accepted for publication.
