Review Process by Series
-
FAU Forschungen
Reviewed by all members of the independent Academic Advisory Board, who ensure scholarly quality and integrity. Feedback is shared with authors, and revisions may be requested. -
FAU Studien
Includes dissertations and postdoctoral theses. Reviewed by series editors with input from the supervising professor. Editors have no financial interests and focus solely on academic merit. -
Interdisciplinary Series
New series like FAU Kunst un Bildung are overseen by relevant academic centers and follow the same editorial standards as FAU Studien. -
FAU Drucke
Includes stand-alone publications (e.g., exhibition catalogues). While not always formally reviewed, subject experts from the University Library may be consulted for quality assurance.
Ethical Standards
All reviewers focus strictly on academic quality. Editors also ensure submissions are relevant to the series’ focus. Reviewers are encouraged to follow COPE guidelines and use tools such as COPE flowcharts to support ethical and fair peer review.
