Peer review procedure

Intellect is an independent academic press specializing in the fields of creative practice and popular culture. All our publications are peer-reviewed.

The procedure is as follows:

A manuscript that qualifies for publication by Intellect is forwarded by the publisher to two external reviewers.

These two reviewers are requested to write a peer review following the ‘Intellect Peer Review Form’.

At least two blind peer review reports are required for every work.

If the first two reviews share the same opinion, the publisher will follow the advice of the reviewers.

If the reviewers have different opinions, the manuscript will be sent to a third reviewer.

If the author is asked to revise his/her manuscript, the final manuscript goes back to at least one of the reviewers for approval.
