OAPEN and DOAB 2025 Highlights published

The Hague, The Netherlands, 12 March 2026. Today, OAPEN and Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB) have published their joint 2025 Highlights, an annual report presenting an overview of key developments across their open infrastructures for open access (OA) books.

The report reflects on progress made over the past year, including service growth, partnerships, technical developments, and continued efforts to strengthen transparency and trust in open scholarly publishing.

The annual highlights report offers insight into how OAPEN and DOAB continue to support publishers, libraries, funders, and researchers worldwide, while advancing sustainable, community‑driven OA book infrastructure.

The full report is openly available on the OAPEN and DOAB websites. Previous versions of the annual reports and OAPEN management reports are also available.

Financial information will be added when it becomes available. A PDF version will be published alongside the online version at a later date.
